After seeing that hit, as a Blues fan, I think the suspension was warranted. Why players don't have more respect for each other is beyond me. Playoffs or not, just let up when someone is in a vulnerable position.

Will be more interesting to see who is next. I don't see the Blues changing their approach at all. But anything close to boarding you know they will be looking for an offsetting suspension. Especially with the history of some of the Bruin players.

I thought Grzelcyk put himself in a dangerous position but I accept the League's explanation of their decision.

Don't count on it. Marchand only got 2 minutes for this in the 2013 ECF and no supplemental discipline:

Neal later got 5 games for kneeing Marchand in the head. Neal deserved his suspension for the kneeing but I think Marchand should have gotten some amount of supplemental discipline for the above hit. It could have resulted in a really bad injury.

He hit him in the head whether intentional or not so one game is fair. Players also need to protect themselves which Grzelcyk did not. The officiating has been brutal, calls and non calls have favored the Bruins through two games and that won’t change. They’ll call a slash on Schenn in the 3rd period of a tie game, but won’t call a more egregious slash on Chara that would give the Blues a 5 on 3 in game one. Both resulted in broken sticks.
